| 5/1: I'm sorry
to read that the forum is closing, I will miss
it as I'm sure many other people will too.
I hope it's not being closed because the
officals of Warren City are tired of reading
about themselves, the truth hurts. If the City
of Warren was run better & if the big wigs
really cared about the residents there wouldnt
be so much for us little people to complain
about. God bless & everyone take care
!!

| 5/1: Sure gonna
miss this forum

Forum's closing was inevitable........surprised
it lasted this long
|
| 5/1: THANK YOU.
PLEASE RETURN SOON. EVEN THOUGH ALOT OF US NEVER
TOLD YOU, WE "DID" APPRECIATE YOUR
WORK. VERY NICE FORUM. GOOD LUCK!
|
| 5/1: It's worth
a shot, but what can we all do to keep this
forum open? We need this site to keep us from
jumping out of our skin at someone in person. I
beg of you to re-consider. Don't let Warren
down, as the city & county has. This site is
excellent for information that we can't get
otherwise. It helped me in my voting decisions,
& it showed me who the real crooks are. It
makes me sad to think that I can't reach in here
for answers or laughs, or the excitement of an
argument. Take a summer break, & say that we
can all look forward to an early August
re-opening. Thanks for giving me the space to
speak & educate my mind . Have a great
summer! JOHN KERRY --PRESIDENT 2004

| 5/1: Where will
the newly indicted get to smear other peoples
character now? Where will they be able to
blame others for their crimes?Where will they go
when their last few friends find them out? Where
do you turn when the mainstream media will not
broadcast your lies? Sadly, if you take
this break to seek the mental help you need, you
still may return to society again. No one hates
those who are indicted, the feeling is pity, and
sadness. Seriously, God teaches us to forgive,as
we want forgiven. We live where we always have
another chance to live up to our true potential.
For those who are in turmoil because of their
crimes,I pray you find peace.

5/1: Imagine
that,lawsuits for this forum.
the only reason we need lawyers is because they
put us in this legal life to keep themselves
employed. We all know it and thats why most
lawyers are despised by everyone but themselves.
They are their own biggest heros. Leeches on the
backside of society. Ya we need them but that is
because of them. Dig deep and you might
find a good one and person to. Thanks alot
Atty.'s. Go impress yourselves and file more
lawsuits to wreck this country.
They ruined it again.
|
| 5/1: Suzette
from Southington, hope this gets to you.
I'm willing to bet that numerous lawsuits were
filed as a result of the vicious, hateful,
sladerous comments posted by you and yours.
If those comments weren't lawsuit material I
don't know what is. I'm sorry Holly posted
them but they surely contributed to her shutting
down this site. Thanks Southington.
Warren resident.
|
| 5/1: Thanks
Holly and Lance the forum will be greatly missed
by all of us including some enities like the FBI
and everyone else investigating this area Im
sure. Hope we can get it back up and running in
the near future. It was a value that some have
not had the full realization of yet.I am sure
now that it will be gone reality will set in
promptly. Have a great summer.
|
| 4/30: Just
because this forum is closing, let us all not
forget about all the issues that we fought
over,& laughed about, & especially the
ones that never seemed to get resolved, such as:
Fred's radio / money, the burned up county car,
the $4000.00, the fabulous old gamblers, the
over extended gas cards for employees, the still
standing Ames Plaza, & all the other eye
sores, & most of all-- THE DAMN SMELLY
DUMP!!! It's been real, & it's been fun, but
let's not lose sight of the real issues in
Warren. I hope this site returns real soon, as
this was my means of learning all the news,
being handicapped. It made my day go by with
lots of thoughts on life. Thanks for the
memories! Have a good summer everyone. God bless
the U.S.A., our Military, & all our health
& safety forces that we can't do without.
Peace & Love to all !

| 4/30: Good bye
dear forum. You have given us a place to vent
our frustrations. I know many times it got
downright ugly. You will truly be missed. i read
this site every morning and will be jonesing it
for awhile. Good things come to an end.
Hopefully warren and the surrounding areas will
some day be at peace with one another. But one
can only hope. god bless you all.

| 4/30: I am
looking for an answer on how to go about having
school board members removed from their
position. Warren City Schools current
board members with the exception of Nedra Bowen
clearly should not be running a school system
overseeing children's educations. If these
board members are not removed there will be
nothing left of our schools. These people
say they care and know we as parents are hurting
and that is a bunch of bull. The only
thing these people care about is how much their
next raise will be and when will they get it.
It is a very sad day when the board decides to
close a perfectly good school to transport our
children to a school infested with mice and
roaches and not enough room for the children
that are already there. What really ticks
me off is the fact that there are so many people
out there who don't want to get involved because
they are involved with you one way or
another. I will not stop fighting for
justice for our children, I will not quit until
I see that there are people overseeeing our
schools who are really here for the children.
That is what it all boils down to: the
children. They are the most important
factor here and you as board members have not
even considered them once. And don't tell
me that you were once a teacher and you know
that these children won't be affected, because
that is so not true. I don't know where
you were a teacher but I am so glad my children
didn't have you. You obviously don't know
anything about children. If anybody out
there can help me, I would really appreciate it.

believe that someone thinks Warren City Health
Dept. can show their teeth when they need to.
They can close Soul 77 and nail Golden Gate but
they cant do a D$%* thing with Warren Recycling

4/30: I will
miss the Forum! I'm sorry to hear that you
have to shut it down. Sure have enjoyed
the daily bashings! Just want to thank you for
letting all the Southington residents vent.
Things are getting pretty much back to normal,
thank God! And to the Warren people who couldn't
stand to have us on your pages - that's OK -
summer is here and after all, we've got them
thar' fields to plow and hawgs to slop and
manure to spread!!

4/30: I'm
really going to miss the arguments and
accusations on this page. It's been so fun to
have a coffee and read Warrenpages. It will be
so boring now around Election Day. Thanks for
keeping it real. I hope they change their mind
and re-open it soon! If they don't, we'll all
still have our own opinion who is behind it!
;)
Editor's Note: I think we will have to
reopen it at least at election time!

schools should never be operated by business
people , they are programed to see profits
only.. how shallow and uniformed that post was,
if you think new computers will make your
children smarter you are saddly mistaken more
teachers with smaller class sizes makes kids
smarter , computers are babysitters and show you
would rather have people watch your children
instead of educate them , yet this is warren ,
will see in ten years how your kids are doing
|
| 4/30: Sorry to
see the feedback forum will not continue.
Once again,we will meet at coffee
shops,McDonalds, donut places and vent our anger.
The feedback forum has been a tremendous outlet
for the news to find its way to the public.
Special word of thanks for the discussions of
the ongoing corruption probes. Those who know
they are in deep trouble will breathe a sigh of
relief thinking their crimes will not be
discussed by the general public. However their
larceny will come out in courtrooms, both state
and federal, and they will face TOTAL justice.
Holly and Lance ,you have served us well, with
dignity and compassion. God Speed

question was RENT and any station that lets the

the FCC will be fast and numerous. You
have been warned.

4/29: From the
front page:
"Tim Ryan began
his career in politics as a congressional aide
with the U.S. House of Representatives in
1995..."
I hope this didn't come
from a bio given to WarrenPages from the
congressman. I think it's plain to see that
Ryan's former boss' name is glaringly omitted.
Mr. Traficant gave Ryan a plum position as a
congressional aide as he began a career in
politics. Now it appears that Traficant is
persona non gratis. Such is the world of
politics. I hope I'm wrong

4/29: Since
this will be my last post, due to the forum
ending, I would like to thank Lance & Holly
for their magnificent work, which I will truly
miss. I can only hope that the feedback site
won't be down for long. Through all the
craziness we have all shared, in good times
& in bad, it's just one more thing that us
from Warren will lose. May God bless each &
every one of you, please pray for our soldiers
safe return, & stay safe in all that you do,
but most of all, please put John Kerry in the
White House! I sincerely hope that the technical
difficulties, the law suit threats, & the
time needed, can be overcome in a very short
time. I will keep an eye open. Thanks for
everything!
Missing it already :(

Congratulations to the Warren city health
department for coming down hard on The Golden

Special kudos to Margeret Scott for the outrage
she displayed at these diplorable conditions.

Editors: I will miss reading most of the
comments posted in the Forum and wish to thank
you for allowing us this freedom. It's a
shame that some found it necessary to name call
and slander one another and ruin the good thing
for the rest of us. Thank you -
and I look forward to the day when the Forum
will be open again
|
| 4/29: I hate to
see Warrenpages eliminated, I would like to
know, how any reader can bring a law suit
against the Tribune, when it is the public
writing their own comments. The people of
Warren need a place to vent their concerns about
our fair city and the levels of corruption that
exist, I am sorry the truth hurts. So, I implore
you not to close the forum, but leave us an
outlet to vent.
|
4/29: No more comments to be written or read? Boy, I understand how hard it is to keep up with all of it and the fees we pay don't cover your time, but I want you to know how much I will miss it and that has become a part of my life and puts me in the loop of things that I would never know anything about.
So, I will not be negative or whine, but thank you for the time and efforts all of you have done for all of us here and want you to know it has been very much appreciated. Good luck to all of you and thank you so much.

4/29: What a
shame, Warrens Only Local Forum is leaving for
now. I hope it can return soon but it is very
difficult to run an absentee ownership business.
When the business was in Warren, Ohio not New
York the owners had much better control of the
content. The owners could work their great
restaurant North Perk and the Warren Pages from
the same building. With Lance going to the
Northwest and Holly, the Northeast the business
just could not survive.
I am sorry things did not work out for you two
as you were a great couple but we all have our
problems. Warren’s loss will be Minn. and NY's
gain. I would like to wish you folks he best of
continued success and remember you will always
be a part of Warren as I hope Warren will always
be a part of you.
Good Luck and God Bless Lance Fensterman and
Holly Zoba.

Up, Up, Up With People They feel fine. 'Rapture

Say What?
WASHINGTON, D.C.— With the air gushing out of
John Kerry's balloon, it may be only a matter of
time until political insiders in Washington face
the dread reality that the junior senator from
Massachusetts doesn't have what it takes to win
and has got to go. As arrogant and out of it as
the Democratic political establishment is, even
these pols know the party's got to have someone
to run against George Bush. They can't exactly
expect the president to self-destruct into thin
air.
With growing issues over his wealth (which makes
fellow plutocrat Bush seem a charity case by
comparison), the miasma over his medals and
ribbons (or ribbons and medals), his uninspiring
record in the Senate (yes war, no war), and
wishy-washy efforts to mimic Bill Clinton's
triangulation gimmickry (the protractor factor),
Kerry sinks day by day. The pros all know that
the candidate who starts each morning by having
to explain himself is a goner.
What to do? Look for the Dem biggies, whoever
they are these days, to sit down with the rich
and arrogant presumptive nominee and try to
persuade him to take a hike. Then they can
return to business as usual—resurrecting John
Edwards, who is still hanging around, or staging
an open convention in Boston, or both.
If things proceed as they are, the dim-bulb Dem
leaders are going to be very sorry they screwed
Howard Dean.

4/28: Dear
Senator Kerry ...
By Walter Cronkite
Dear Sen. Kerry:
In the interests of your campaign and your
party's desire to unseat George W. Bush, you
have some explaining to do. During the primary
campaign, your Democratic opponents accused you
of flip-flopping on several important issues,
such as your vote in favor of the Iraq War
resolution.
Certainly your sensitivity to nuance, your
ability to see shades of gray where George Bush
sees only black and white, explains some of your
difficulty. Shades of gray don't do well in
political campaigns, where primary colors are
the rule. And your long and distinguished
service in the Senate has no doubt led to
genuine changes in some positions. But the
denial that you are a liberal is almost
impossible to reconcile.
When the National Journal said your Senate
record makes you one of the most liberal members
of the Senate, you called that "a laughable
characterization" and "the most
ridiculous thing I've ever seen in my
life." Wow! Liberals, who make up a
substantial portion of the Democratic Party and
a significant portion of the independent vote,
are entitled to ask, "What gives?"
It isn't just the National Journal that has
branded you as a liberal. So has the liberal
lobbying group Americans for Democratic Action.
Senator, check your own website. It says you are
for rolling back tax cuts for the wealthiest
Americans, for tax credits to both save and
create jobs, for real investment in our schools.
You've voted, in the words of your own campaign,
for "every major piece of civil rights
legislation to come before Congress since 1985,
as well as the Equal Rights Amendment." You
count yourself (and are considered by others) a
leader on environmental protection issues.
You are committed to saving Medicare and Social
Security, and you are an internationalist in
foreign policy.
What are you ashamed of? Are you afflicted with
the Dukakis syndrome - that loss of nerve that
has allowed conservatives both to define and to
demonize liberalism for the past decade and
more? You remember, of course, that it was
during the 1988 presidential campaign that
George Bush I attacked Democrat Michael Dukakis
both for opposing the Vietnam War and for
stating he was a card-carrying member of the
American Civil Liberties Union. Both proved,
Bush said, that Dukakis was a liberal. Dukakis
responded to that as an attack on his
patriotism. He defended neither liberalism nor
the ACLU.
Dukakis might have responded by saying: "I
am surprised, Mr. Bush, that you are not a
member of the ACLU. We do not have to agree on
all the positions that the ACLU may take on this
issue or that, but we should applaud its effort
to protect the rights of Americans, even those
charged with heinous crimes." Dukakis might
have defended liberalism as the legacy of FDR
and Harry Truman and John F. Kennedy - none of
whom were anything like 100 percent liberals but
all of whom advanced the cause of a truly
liberal democracy.
But by ducking the issue, Dukakis opened the way
for the far right to make "L" for
liberal a scarlet letter with which to brand all
who oppose them. In the course of that 1988
exchange, Bush offered a telling observation,
saying, in effect, that liberals don't like
being called liberal. You seem to have
reaffirmed that analysis.
If 1988 taught us anything, it is that a
candidate who lacks the courage of his
convictions cannot hope to convince the nation
that he should be given its leadership. So,
senator, some detailed explanations are in order
if you hope to have any chance of defeating even
a wounded George II in November. You cannot let
the Bush league define you or the issues. You
have to do that yourself. Take my advice and lay
it all out, before it's too late. |
| 4/28: Wizdom,
How can you possibly compare bad boy Bill, to
Kerry? There is nothing to compare. No-where was
it said that I judged Bush, but that it was a
proven fact that he was a bad president. I am
glad that I do not have to judge anyone, as if
it were so, Bush would be long gone by now.May
God be with us if he gets re-elected. What's
that word? DICTATOR? Coming soon to an area near
you. Even if I didn't vote for anyone, I would
make it a special trip to be the first to cast
my ballot against Bush! P.S. I appreciate the
feedback. That's what makes this country FREE.
Have a nice day. |
| 4/28: Re:
WARNING. Do you know that the almighty Bush, war
monger president, is NOT in charge of this war,
as he had to be "tutored" in foreign
policy matters, therefore letting the MILITARY
handle this mess, so as not to muddy his hands,
come investigation time? Bush couldn't steer
this country out of a wet paper sack unless
someone else gave him directions! Just wait
untill this all comes out in the wash. Why is he
being so secret & not being sworn in to tell
the truth, with his pal Cheney, for the 9-11
commission tomorrow, & why isn't he
permitting it to be documented? It sure isn't
because of National security! And WHY does he
"NEED" Cheney at his side? Maybe
because he can't find the right answers known as
the TRUTH! It's because he doesn't want to
purger himself, for fear of prison! I am tired
of him lying to this country, & putting our
kids in danger, & now our families, due to
these terrorist hating us so much now. He needs
to be IMPEACHED! VOTE KERRY! |

someone please check this out. I
understand that WANR radio on the court house
square hasn't paid the city one dime of rent in

"we're broke" they want to raise taxes
but they never go after the rent they are owed.
What's wrong with this? |
| 4/28: Public
corruption is not only about dishonest
politicians. It is akso about the crooked
lawyers,businessmen,and citizens that uphold
their practices. In many cases ,lawyers are the
brokers of this plague, We are lucky
to have many fine members of our local bar.But
in the shadows are the few, the terrible few,
that will do ANYTHING to get a retainer. These
vermin take the cash and forget the client. It
would be rewarding to follow Shakesperes advice,
and first get rid of the lawyers. I hope

An ODOT grant paid for the study and the

I think Kerry is a much better pick than Bush,

4/27: Putting
things in perspective. 4/27/04
There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq
during the month of January.....in the fair city
of Detroit; there were 35 murders in the month
of January. That's one American city folks,
about as deadly as the entire war torn country
of Iraq.
Worst president in history?
The following appeared in the Durham, local
paper as a letter to the editor. Please forward
to all on your list as this will put things in
perspective: Liberals claim President Bush
shouldn't have started this war. They complain
about his prosecution of it. One liberal
recently claimed Bush was the worst president in
U.S. history.
Let's clear up one point: We didn't start the
war on terror. Try to remember, it was started
by terrorists BEFORE 9/11. Let's look at the
"worst" president and mismanagement
claims.
FDR led us into World War II. Germany never
attacked us: Japan did. From 1941-1945, 450,000
lives were lost, an average of 112,500 per year.
Truman finished that war and started one in
Korea, North Korea never attacked us. From
1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost, an average of
18,333 per year.
John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in
1962. Vietnam never attacked us.
Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire. From
1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost, an average of
5,800 per year.
Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or
French consent, Bosnia never attacked us. He was
offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter
three times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has
attacked us on multiple occasions.
In the two years since terrorists attacked us,
President Bush has liberated two countries,
crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida, put
nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran and North
Korea without firing a shot, and captured a
terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own
people. We lost 600 soldiers, an average of 30 a
year. Bush did all this abroad while not
allowing another terrorist attack at home Worst
president in history? Come on!
The Democrats are complaining about how long the
war is taking, but... It took less time to take
Iraq than it took Janet Reno to take the Branch
Dravidian compound. That was a 51 day operation.
We've been looking for evidence of chemical
weapons in Iraq for less time than it took
Hillary Clinton to find the Rose Law Firm
billing records.
It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division
and the Marines to destroy the Medina Republican
Guard than it took Teddy Kennedy to call the
police after his Oldsmobile sank at
Chappaquiddick.
It took less time to take Iraq than it took to
count the votes in Florida!!!! Our military is
GREAT! And George W. Bush is a truely great
President! PASS IT ON !!! |
4/27: Reading
the Sunday Tribune and seeing what non-teaching
personnel are being paid and then seeing their
results in Monday’s paper, I made the decision
to never vote for another school levy until I
see major salary cuts and major student
improvements.
Paul Trina salary of $81,157.00 is just one
example. Not only unbelievable,
unconscionable, unwarranted and on the verge of
thievery, but folks, is he really needed.
Some one on that level should give back to the
community. Has any one ever seen him do
any thing for the community? For that
matter, how many school employees give any thing
to the people that employ them? Very few.
And we all know he’s not the only one on that
list that’s overpaid and under worked.
The system appears to have two superintendents,
two personnel directors, two food managers and a
host of other non productive free loaders.
The Warren City School salaries appear to have
topped both Trumbull County and Warren City.
It’s a sad and gloomy day when the area’s
top salaries are paid by the weary tax payers.
Let’s see action from this Board of Education.
Cut salaries, cut positions, demand
accountability, demand improvement. Stop
the downward spiral of mediocrity, the ever
growing excuse making, and most of all the
pandering to the over paid bureaucrats. |

4/27: RE:
Warren City Schools; And Now the Rest of the
Story
Several years ago, the Warren City Board of
Education arbitrarily added the title of
"executive director" to most of the
administrative positions. Along with this
new title was an additional 7-10% raise. No
additional duties or responsibilities were
added, but the title was a way for the board to
use smoke and mirrors to add the raises. How and
why should there be an:
·Executive Director of Human Resources
·Executive Director of Business Operations
·Executive Director of Research, Technology
&
Federal Programs
·Executive Director of Development &
Student -
Community Services
when there is no actual director position? The
organizational hierarchy is out of whack!
Perhaps the most egregious administrative
decision was the FACT that athletic director
Paul Trina not only got a raise, but close to
half of his duties and responsibilities were
given to the newly hired high school football
coach Thomas McDaniels, who was given a newly
created position of supervisor of physical
activities and athletic facilities. NICE!
Take away duties and responsibilities and get a
raise on top of it! It is not a well-kept
secret within the school district that Mr.
McDaniels is actually making his $65,192 per
annum as a football coach. There is little
to document and support that he actually
performs any other duties.
These raises are out of line with the usual 3%
given to all other employees and the private
sector in general. Is it any wonder that
the recent decisions concerning the closing of
schools, laying off teachers, and hiring new
personnel has raised the ire of many citizens,
parents, and district employees? Coupled
with these mistakes, is the fact that the
taxpayers placed their fiscal trust in the
board. The board of education should
expect to hear the vexation of throngs of
disgruntled citizens, employees, and parents for
years to come, as a result of these poor
administrative acts.
While the members of the board of education are
not expected to be “experts” on education,
they are expected to be the guardians of the
taxpayers’ checkbook! Remember, the Warren
City Board of Education will be asking the
public to support additional taxes in forum of
an operating expenses levy in the future.
Do you want to give them more public monies to
mismanage? |
| 4/27: Is it
just me or do other people think the new rock
piles, they call planters, downtown are simply
horrible! They do not match one building
downtown. Lets see if we can find
something else that doesn't match and looks like
crap and stick that in the already ugly
downtown. Shouldn't someone be held
accountable? |
4/27: Residents
of Warren are concerned with some of the board
of education’s recent decisions. Though
the closing of McKinley elementary is sad, it is
clearly time. Students in our city deserve
the chance to have computer labs, full size
gyms, temperature controlled classrooms, etc.
The students in school now are getting the same
basic education (English, Math, science, social
studies) as thirty years ago, but students are
not getting the education they need with
computers and other technologies from the school
system.
The new schools that are set to open in 2008
will give the students of our city the type of
education that they will need to attend college,
perform better on standardized tests and obtain
computer skills early in their childhood that
will be a necessity for their future employment.
To the person who suggested that a school system
should run like a business and the persons who
run it should have business related degrees: I
believe you’re right. Having people that
know how to micromanage money could only be a
benefit to the taxpayer and the student.
During this transitional phase of our school
system from the old buildings to the new ones,
the board of education will probably have to
make other decisions many residents will not
agree with. As a community, all we can do
is hope that these decisions will help make the
system a better place for the student to learn
and its budget stronger and more efficient.

4/27: To the
person who posted the article about:
http://www.blaqsun.com/warren.html
I am a member of Blaqsun, and appreciate your
feedback about our song. As Chief
Mandopolous said, this is America and everyone
is entitled to their opinion.
As far as the song is
concerned, the two criminal names, Alphonse
Hogan and Lyndel Kimble were mentioned in the
song because they are te two names that most
people are familiar with. In no way shape or
form did we ever in the song claim their
innocence in the crimes they committed, that is
a judge's responsiblity. Just as it our penal
system's resonsibility to punished them, not the
rogue Warren police officers who have taken on
the role of Judge, Jury and Executioner.
Are you advocating a 'Judge Dredd' law system??
Also if you read all
the lyrics you would see that we also said there
are 'countless others'... who are not criminals
but routine traffic stops that receive ILLEGAL
cavity searches, and these rogue officers don't
deny they did the searches and in fact said they
will continue to do ILLEGAL cavity searches!!!
If you read all the
lyrics we wrote the song not to cry or complain,
but to help the warren community get their
police and fire tax levies passed in the future.
As of right now the community, not just the
black community, the whole community has turned
down the levy, because of these rogue officers.
I actually feel the police force and fire dept
need the extra finances to protect YOU and YOUR
FAMILY. So we took on the burden of this
song because YOU wouldn't stand up for YOURSELF,
YOUR FUTURE and YOUR FAMILY. Is it by chance the
fireman wanted their own separate levy...they
knew the police being attached to the tax levy
would cause it to be defeated... Is it by chance
that in the last year alone complaints against
the police dept were 59 and in the two previous
years they were 25 each year. Is it by
chance that after this song was release Chief
Mandopolous ordered the entire department to go
through a community-relations training course...
We Do Our Research... in the
future, do yours and don't bite the hand, or
rappers, that reach out to help YOU and YOUR
FAMILIY...

HOLLAND, Associated Press Writer
WASHINGTON - A nearly three-year fight over
privacy in White House policy-making is going
before a Supreme Court known for guarding its
own secrecy.
Justices were being asked by the Bush
administration Tuesday to let it keep private
the records of Vice President Dick Cheney's work
on a national energy strategy.
The White House is framing the case as a major
test of executive power, arguing that the forced
disclosure of confidential records intrudes on a
president's power to get truthful advice.
At the Supreme Court, which will rule before
July, the administration finds a last hope in a
dispute that began in July 2001 when a
government watchdog group sued over Cheney's
private meetings. The case has never gone to
trial, but a federal judge ordered the White
House to begin turning over records two years
ago.
The Bush administration has lost two rounds in
federal court. If the Supreme Court makes it
three, Cheney could have to reveal potentially
embarrassing records just in time for the
presidential election.
Watchdog group Judicial Watch and the
environmental group Sierra Club want the task
force papers made public to see what influence
energy industries had in outlining national
energy policy.
The Sierra Club accused the administration of
shutting environmentalists out of the meetings
while catering to energy industry executives and
lobbyists.
This one may get very interesting. If it turns
out that there was "insider trading"
on the national energy policy - think
Halliburton cleaning up in Iraq - it could be
very embarassing. yo |

antiquated. Even the process of election

needs checks and balances - just like all the

that they must follow. They need to listen
to the people who elect them - their wants and

Indictment,or crimminal charges being filed
against either? We must assume innocence untill
guilt is proven,do'nt we?As for assisting other
Agencies,or Muinicipalities?I'm not certain but
I really do,nt believe so!I think the Sheriff,s
Office is obliged to run the jail, and are the
Coroners Investigators.Providing a road patrol
is a bonus when Money is available. As for me
speaking Highly of?I merely put the facts before
you.If you believe it's Highly to hold a couple
college degrees, and be able to shoot the anal
orifice out of a skunk at 50 yards, then it
is!Look, all this whispering going on aboute the
big bad F.B.I.investigations and who is and who
is'nt in deep do-do is all speculat | |
